Burger King Portugal is seeking an experienced and dynamic Category Manager to join our team. This role involves strategy and planning development and execution for our restaurants and digital channels. Strong collaborating skills with various departments and agencies to ensure a consistent implementation. 5 to 10 years’ experience within QSR, FMCG or services. Direct report to marketing director.


Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of the strategy of the categories under his/her responsibilities, focused on generating traffic and consumption occasions, brand building and customer satisfaction. You will work in constant coordination with other teams, mainly digital marketing, business intelligence, innovation, procurement, media and operations as well as with the Spain team for Iberian initiatives, the global team and partner agencies.


Main responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for the categories, that align with business objectives.
  • Calendar: Build a yearly calendar and actively participate in Portugal Brand plan.
  • Campaign and Product Development: Design and execute campaigns and product launches that enhance customer experience, in coordination with internal teams and agencies
  • Monitor the results of the initiatives to ensure that business objectives are met.
  • Budget management and control
  • RBI. Operational Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for operational teams regarding brand and product activations.
  • Cross-Departmental and Agencies Collaboration: Work closely with various departments and agencies to implement marketing initiatives and projects.
  • Market and Trend Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities.


Requirements

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as Category Manager or in a similar role.
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in multinational environments within FMCG, QSR, or Services.

  • Strong analytical, comms and managerial skills
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • High level of rigor and attention to detail
